The canton of Chilly-Mazarin was until 2015 a French constituency in the Arrondissement Palaiseau , in the department of Essonne and in the region of Île-de-France ; its main town was Chilly-Mazarin . Gérard Funès ( PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Department since 1998 .

As part of the reorganization of the French cantons in 2015, the canton was dissolved. The municipality of Chilly-Mazarin was assigned to the canton of Massy , Morangis and Wissous went to the canton of Savigny-sur-Orge .

The canton Chilly-Mazarin was 1948 hectares (19.48 km²) and had (2006) 35,136 inhabitants, which corresponds to a population density of 1804 inhabitants per km². It was on average 69 meters above sea level, between 42 meters and 101 meters, both in Chilly-Mazarin.
