The Canton of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement Evry and Palaiseau in the department of Essonne and the region Ile-de-France ; its main town is Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois . Pierre Champion ( DVG ) was the representative in the General Council of the Department from 1992 to 2011 . He was succeeded by Frédéric Petitta ( DVG ). The canton was founded in its current composition in 1967.
