Franz Kreutz

Franz Kreutz (born March 5, 1869 in Altenessen , Essen district; † March 3, 1939 in Essen ) was a German politician ( center ).

Live and act

After attending the elementary school in Altenessen (1875-1883) and the advanced training school, Kreutz learned the metalworking and mechanical engineering trade. He worked as an assistant in various workshops until 1890, before taking on a position as a fitter at the Reichsbahn. In 1892 he became an auxiliary wagon master before he was employed as a wagon master at the Prussian-Hessian state railway administration from 1898 to 1900.

In 1900 Kreutz became head of the Association of German Railway Car Masters and editor of the specialist newspaper for technical car inspection staff .

From January 1919 to June 1920, Kreutz was a member of the Center Party for constituency 17 (Münster and Minden district) in the Weimar National Assembly .

Kreutz was active as a journalist for the Reichskartel der Staatsangestelle, in which he was a member of the committee, and for which he published some publications on the railway sector.
