Wilfried Kramps

Wilfried Kramps (born December 15, 1939 in Witten ; † May 22, 2017 ) was a German politician and member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament of the SPD .

Life and work

After attending elementary school and business school , he completed a commercial training and was employed in the transport sector until 1965. From 1965 to 1985 he was party secretary and managing director in the SPD sub-district of Hagen.

He joined the SPD in 1960. He was active in numerous bodies of the party, so he was z. B. from 1963 to 1968 chairman of the SPD city association Herdecke .

MP

From May 30, 1985 to June 2, 2005, Kramps was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in constituency 119 Hagen I.

He was a member of the city council of Hagen from 1969 to 1989. From 1974 to 1984 he was a member of the landscape assembly of the regional association Westphalia-Lippe .

Kramps was a member of the twelfth Federal Assembly that elected Federal President Horst Köhler on May 23, 2004 .
