Grigny is a French city with 28,737 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Grigny is located about 30 kilometers south of Paris in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France , near the Prefecture Évry .
Grigny is not far from Paris Orly Airport and grew extremely fast in the late 1960s. The S-Bahn line RER D has a stop here.
