The Communauté d'agglomération de Sénart is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It was founded on June 17, 1984 and comprised eight parishes. The administrative seat was in Lieusaint .

Historical development

The association of municipalities has been renamed several times and was called Syndicat d'agglomération nouvelle de Sénart-Ville Nouvelle until 2015 . Then it was raised to the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération and has been called Communauté d'agglomération de Sénart since then .

On January 1, 2016, the community federation merged with the Communauté d'agglomération Évry Center Essonne , the Communauté d'agglomération de Seine-Essonne and the Communauté d'agglomération Sénart en Essonne to form the new Communauté d'agglomération Grand Paris Sud Seine- Essonne-Sénart .
