The Communauté Paris-Saclay is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France . The community association was founded with effect from January 1, 2016 and comprises 27 communities. The administrative headquarters are in Orsay .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2016 from the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté d'agglomération Europ 'Essonne and
• Communauté d'agglomération du Plateau de Saclay

and entry of the municipalities of Verrières-le-Buisson and Wissous , which had previously belonged to the Communauté d'agglomération des Hauts-de-Bièvre .
