David Theodor Schmidt

David Theodor Schmidt (born September 3, 1982 in Erlangen ) is a German pianist .

Life

David Theodor Schmidt studied piano at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe with Sontraud Speidel and later at the Royal College of Music London with Kevin Kenner. He then gave concerts in the Konzerthaus Berlin , the Gasteig Munich, the Tchaikovsky Conservatory Moscow, several times in the series of C. Bechstein Piano Evenings as well as at the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg / Hohenems and the Thuringian Bach Weeks . His CD for the Sony Classical label , released in 2009, was named CD of the month by the German music magazine FonoForum and was particularly recommended by the radio stations RBB, MDR and NDR as well as the magazine Piano News .
