Florian Tuercke

Florian Tuercke (* 1977 in Nuremberg ) is a sound artist who lives and works in Nuremberg.

From 1999 to 2005 he studied fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg , with a focus on installation. In 2003 he received the award "Meisterschüler" from Diet Sayler . 2007 he finished the Postgraduate -Studiengang "Art and Public Space" at Georg Winter with a diploma . Since then he has been working as a freelance artist. Florian Tuercke's work is located in the field of tension between sculpture, performance and music. The focus of Florian Tuercke's work is the “URBAN AUDIO” project, in which the harmonic behavior of road traffic and its musical relationships are examined by means of analog sound conversions . Tuercke is a member of the international artist group "forschungsgruppe_f" and the Urban Research Institute. Tuercke has been working with the artist Christian Weiß since 2004 , who appears in his work as a performer and / or assistant.
