Felix Rech

Felix Rech (born May 6, 1977 in Mainz ) is a German theater actor .

Life

Felix Rech studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna from 1997 to 2000 , where he also graduated in 2000 . During his apprenticeship, Rech also had role lessons from Klaus Maria Brandauer .

While still a student, Rech received a contract as an apprentice at the Vienna Burgtheater . Rech had his first regular theater engagement from 2000 to 2003 at the German National Theater in Weimar . During these years, Rech played the title role in Hamlet by William Shakespeare , Edmund in Shakespeare's King Lear , Alwa in Lulu by Frank Wedekind and Camille Desmoulins in Danton's Death by Georg Büchner .

From 2003 to 2006 Rech appeared as a permanent member of the ensemble at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin . He played there, among other things, the Waska Pepel in Nachtasyl by Maxim Gorki , the Ruprecht in Der zerbrochne Krug by Heinrich von Kleist and the Voinizew in Platonow by Anton Chekhov . He also appeared in the play America , a stage version based on motifs from the novel Der Verschollene by Franz Kafka .

From 2006 to 2011 Rech was a member of the ensemble at the Bavarian State Theater . Since then, Rech has played the role of drum major in Woyzeck by Georg Büchner , the title role of Fiesco in The Conspiracy of Fiesco to Genoa by Friedrich Schiller , the Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare , the Cléante in The Imaginary Sick by Moliere in Munich and Sigismund in Life a Dream by Calderon . In 2009 Rech played in the world premiere of the play Leichtes Spiel. Nine people from a woman by Botho Strauss . For the 2011/2012 season he will move to the ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Bochum , where he has previously worked as a guest in productions.

In the course of his career to date, Rech has worked with many renowned theater directors in the German-speaking area, including Alexander Lang , Dieter Dorn , Martin Kušej and Thomas Langhoff .

Rech also worked in smaller roles in a few television productions and in cinema productions . In 2009 he shot the miniseries Climate Change for ZDF , directed by Doris Dörrie . In 2010 the film drama Das Heilige Land Tyrol , a historical production in the context of Andreas Hofer and the Wars of Liberation against Bavaria and Napoleon , in which he also participated, was published.
