The 1st Amateur League Southwest 1971/72 was the 25th season of the 1st Amateur League and the 20th season after the merging of the seasons Rheinhessen , Vorderpfalz and Westpfalz . The championship was won by newcomer SG Eintracht Kreuznach , which however could not prevail in the promotion round to the Regionalliga Südwest . In addition to Kreuznach, TuS Altrip was promoted to the 1st Southwest Amateur League in 1971. Altrip also played a good role and finished sixth. The clubs Viktoria Neupotz , VfR Baumholder and FVgg Mombach were relegated to the 2nd amateur league.
