Feliciano Alves

Feliciano Alves de Fátima , fighting name Mau Siri , is an East Timorese politician .

Career

Alves is one of the few members of the FRETILIN Central Committee (CCF) from 1975 who survived the war of independence against Indonesia . Here he commanded a unit of the FALINTIL .

For the Associação Social-Democrata de Timor (ASDT), Alves sat in the Constituent Assembly of East Timor from 2001, which became the National Parliament of East Timor when it gained independence in 2002 . Alves remained a MP until the end of the 2007 legislature. Here he was Secretary of Commission II for State Order and Politics. In addition, Alves was a senior member of the veterans organization CPD-RDTL .

From 2007 to 2012, Alves was one of five members of the State Council appointed by the National Parliament .
