IC 3622 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Haar der Berenike in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 974 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 175,000 light-years across .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4595 , IC 3601 , IC 3603 , IC 3621 .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 7, 1904 .
