IC 3624 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E in the constellation Virgo the northern sky . It is estimated to be 988 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4579 , NGC 4606 , IC 3604 , IC 3643 .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 10, 1904 .
