IC 3631 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 124 million light years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years across. She is listed as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster under catalog number VCC 1809 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4584 , IC 3606 , IC 3611 , IC 3635 .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 10, 1904 .
