NGC 4595 is a 12 likes bright spiral dwarf galaxy with extensive star formation from Hubble type SBb in the constellation Coma Berenices the northern sky . It is estimated to be 26 million light years from the Milky Way and about 10,000 light years across . She is listed as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster under catalog number VCC 1811 .
The galaxies IC 3601 , IC 3603 , IC 3621 , IC 3622 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on January 14, 1787 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "F, pL, R, vgbM".
