NGC 4602 is an 11.8 mag light barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation of Virgo , located about 109 million light years from the Milky Way.
It was discovered on April 17, 1784 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "not F, L, LE, LBM, r".
