NGC 4572 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation Draco the northern sky. It is estimated to be 105 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 45,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy NGC 4589 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on December 10, 1797 .
