The 14th O Melodie Pentru Europa took place on March 2nd, 2019 and was the Moldovan preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv ( Israel ).

As in the previous year , there should be a semi-final and a final in 2019. Due to the low quality of the applications, TRM canceled the semifinals for 2019 again after 2018. So there will be only one broadcast in 2019, where the winner of the preliminary decision again determines 50% by televoting and 50% by jury voting.
Choice of contribution
From December 13, 2018 to January 18, 2019, contributions could be submitted to TRM. On January 18, 2019, TRM announced that they had received a total of 28 songs, which is one more song than the previous year. On February 2, 2019, TRM presented the 10 participants.
Attendees
O Melodie Pentru Europa 2019 will take place on March 2nd, 2019 in the TRM studios. For the first time there should be improved audio and picture quality for the preliminary decision. Ten participants compete against each other here. The final was originally planned for March 3, 2019, but was postponed to March 2 due to the cancellation of the semi-final. The singer Vera Țurcanu performed her song a second time after she had technical problems in the first appearance.
Nelly Ciobanu , Cristina Scarlat , Geta Burlacu and the DoReDoS will perform as break fillers . In addition, the Romanian representative Ester Peony will present her song On A Sunday .
