NGC 4562 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBcd in the constellation Haar der Berenike. It is estimated to be 60 million light years from the Milky Way . Together with NGC 4494 and NGC 4565 , it forms the small galaxy group LGG 294.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Tempel in 1882 .
