The Eidelstedter SV is a sports club from the Hamburg district of Eidelstedt . The first soccer team played for three years in the highest amateur league in Hamburg. The association has (as of December 31, 2019) around 7,500 members.

history

After the Second World War , the clubs FC Adler , the gymnastics club Gut Heil and the workers' sports club Frei Heil merged to form Eidelstedter SV. In 1925, FC Adler narrowly failed to advance to the top division. In 1953 the now Eidelstedter SV qualified for the newly created Association League Germania , whose first champions they were. As the bottom of the table, the ESV had to leave the Hamburg upper house again. After a temporary relegation from the association league in 1961, nine years later he qualified for the new, two-track Hamburg amateur league .

In 1972, the Eidelstedter champions and returned to the Hamburg upper house, which is now known as the Hamburg State League . After it was just enough to stay in the league in 1973, relegation followed a year later. In 1978 the ESV was relegated to the district league and said goodbye to high-class football. On July 1, 2003, Eidelstedter SV merged with ETSV Altona to form SV Eidelstedt . This rose in 2004 to the Association League Hamburg and directly from again. In 2010, he was relegated to the district league. It took 4 years for SV Eidelstedt to be back in the national league by still playing today.
