The Verbandsliga Mittelrhein 1973/74 was the 18th season of the Verbandsliga Mittelrhein , which was the top division of amateur football for men from 1962 to 1978 . From 1963, this league, together with the Lower Rhine and Westphalia leagues, formed the substructure of the West Regional Football League and was third-class in the German football league system of that time . In the following season 1974/75 the regional leagues were replaced by the double-track 2. Bundesliga .
