The  Saarland Amateur Football League 1973/74  was the 23rd season of the Saarland Amateur League , the predecessor of the Saarland Association League . This league represented the substructure of the Regionalliga Südwest until 1974 , and from 1975 to 1978 the substructure of the 2nd Bundesliga and was therefore third-class in the overall league hierarchy.

Saarland champion was newcomer SV St. Ingbert . With the introduction of the two-part 2nd Bundesliga , there were no promoters from the 1st amateur league. The amateurs of FC Homburg and SV Fraulautern had to relegate to the district league after this season. For the following season 1974/75 the FC St. Wendel and the SV Weiskirchen came as promoted from the district league, and VfB Theley and FC Ensdorf as relegated from the Regionalliga Südwest.
