The  Saarland Amateur Football League 1971/72  was the 21st season of the Saarland Amateur League , the predecessor of the Saarland Association League . This league represented the substructure of the Regionalliga Südwest until 1974 and was thus third-class in the overall league hierarchy.

Saarland champion was VfB Theley , who successfully finished the regional league promotion round and was allowed to move up. The SC Großrosseln had to relegate to the district league after this season. For the following 1972/73 season , FC Freisen and VfB Dillingen came as promoted players from the district league.
