The  Saarland Amateur Football League 1972/73  was the 22nd season of the Saarland Amateur League , the predecessor of the Saarland Association League . This league represented the substructure of the Regionalliga Südwest until 1974 and was thus third-class in the overall league hierarchy.

Saarland champion was FC Ensdorf , which successfully completed the regional league promotion round and was allowed to move up. The FC Freisen had to relegate to the district league after this season. For the following 1973/74 season , SV St. Ingbert and SpVgg Merzig came as promoters from the district league.
