In August 2017, a new artificial turf pitch with LED floodlighting was inaugurated. The stadium name was also changed to Autoteile Reinartz Sportpark .

successes

The club, founded in 1908, played continuously for more than 25 years in the Verbandsliga (13 years) or in the Oberliga Nordrhein (13 years). The club was able to win three association league championships in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The duels against Alemannia Aachen , Bonner SC , Rot-Weiss Essen and the DFB-Pokal games against MSV Duisburg , Borussia Mönchengladbach (at that time still with Lothar Matthäus ) and especially the 2-1 success in the replay of the 3rd cup round in 1980 against the Bundesliga club Hertha BSC , have given the municipality of Langerwehe national recognition.

Teams from TuS Langerwehe competed a total of seven times for the Mittelrhein Football Association in the DFB Cup and made it through to the second round twice. With the surprising victory in 1980 against Hertha BSC , the TuS made a name for itself as a "cup scare". This sensational success has been immortalized in the German Football Museum in Dortmund under the heading "Heroes for a day".
