Günter Delzepich (born March 21, 1958 in Würselen ) is a former German football player .

career

Delzepich played a total of 179 games in the 2nd Bundesliga for Alemannia Aachen between 1984 and 1990 , scoring 29 goals. He was known for his imposing appearance, as he weighed 98 kg with a height of 1.92 m; “Two meters, two hundredweight” was a winged word related to Delzepich. Because of his very powerful shot, he bet that he could shoot a medicine ball into the goal from outside the 16-meter space without the ball dripping. He lost the bet as he shot over it. The medicine ball bet was, according to Delzepichs, a duck from a newspaper. According to him, there was a medicine ball on the 16th, which he kicked. In the interview he said: "There was just a medicine ball on the sixteenth, I just ran over there and just shot it over the goal."

In the 1986/87 season he moved to Sturm Graz, where he played 28 games and scored 6 goals.

Today Günter Delzepich is department head at the city of Aachen. He played in the traditional Alemannia team, for which he played his last game on August 27, 2016.
