history
Westwacht Aachen was founded in 1908. In the 1973/74 season they reached the third round of the West German Cup . Westwacht Aachen met Alemannia Aachen , where the Westwacht used their home advantage and both teams separated 1: 1 after extra time. The subsequent replay on the Tivoli won the Alemannia 6-0. The greatest success of the soccer department was in 1979 the promotion to the Oberliga Nordrhein , which at the time was the third-highest division in Germany. However, they got relegated after just one season.
In the 2009/10 season, the club rose from the regional league to the district league of the Mittelrhein Football Association and celebrated a direct resurgence a year later with the championship title. In 2015 he was again relegated to the district league, which was followed a year later by relegation to the district league A. There, due to the resignation of the coaching duo, you could not provide a team and not compete in the 2016/17 season, which means that the third consecutive relegation was certain.
After the election of a new board in the spring of 2017, it was decided to provide a senior team again. A “player casting” was used to find a team that would start playing in the 17/18 season under coach Frank Gubien. Since there were a large number of other interested players, even a 2nd men's team in the district league D was reported. After a coach change in March 2018, the 1st team secured relegation in May 2018, two game days before the end of the season.
