The DJK FV Haaren is a sports club from Aachen , Haaren .
history
In 1912, FC Hohenzollern Haaren and FC Sparta were founded . After the First World War in 1918, FC Hohenzollern was renamed SV Haaren. In October 1920 they merged with FC Sparta to form the Haaren 1912 sports club , and one year later they were renamed Haarener FV . The DJK Germania Haaren was also founded in 1920 . In 1987, the club in its current form was created from a merger of the Haarener football club with the DJK Germania. Since then he has been using the name DJK FV Haaren in 1912.
Football department
The club's colors are black and yellow. The games will be played on two artificial turf pitches in the Neuköllner Straße stadium. The club currently plays in the eight-class district league of the Mittelrhein Football Association . The FV Haaren reached its highest league membership in the 1950s. In 1954 one rose to the Landesliga Mittelrhein , which was the highest amateur league until the Verbandsliga Mittelrhein was founded in 1956. After relegation from the regional league in 1957, the club played predominantly in the regional league, but had to make it to the regional league a few times.
Since the 2004/2005 season the club has played in the district league without interruption. In the 2007/08 and 2013/14 seasons they finished 3rd at the end of the season, so they just missed promotion to the Landesliga Mittelrhein. In addition, the U17 was the first youth team in the club's history to be promoted to the district league for the 19/20 season. All other youth teams play in the higher-class district special and performance leagues.
