Josef "Jupp" Zschau (born January 7, 1963 ) is a former German football player and coach .
Career
Jupp Zschau played for the clubs Schwarz-Rot Aachen and Borussia Brand before moving to Alemannia Aachen in the 2nd Bundesliga in 1987 . There he was used regularly from the start and scored seven goals in his first season. In 1990 he rose with his team in the Oberliga Nordrhein. The recovery was just missed (2nd), Josef Zschau was the club's most successful goalscorer (15 goals). For the season 1991/92 he went to the league promoted Prussia Krefeld, where he stayed but only a year and then returned to Alemannia. In his last season there (1993/94) they qualified for the newly created third-class regional league.
Zschau said goodbye and went to Belgium to the nearby Aachen KAS Eupen . Interrupted by a season at Borussia Freialdenhoven , he played there until 2000. At that time, the club competed in the higher amateur leagues. The upswing of the club, which today plays in the professional leagues, did not begin until a short time later. Zschau then played for Belgian (Rot-Weiß Eynatten, KSC Lontzen) and German (Arminia Eilendorf, DJK FV Haaren , VfR Aachen-Forst , JSC Aachen) amateur clubs and then began to work as a coach. In this function he worked for the clubs JSC Aachen (youth), Frisch-Froh Stolberg, VfR Aachen-Forst (district league A) and SC 09 Erkelenz (youth; 1st team).
