The 2012/13 season of the Mittelrheinliga was the 57th season of the Mittelrheinliga football league and, following the abolition of the NRW League, the first as the fifth-highest division in Germany under Oberliga status. The season began on August 25, 2012, with the last game day scheduled for June 9, 2013. FC Hennef 05 secured the championship with three points ahead of TSC Euskirchen . There was no promoted to the regional league , because Hilal Bergheim was the only regional league applicant to miss the athletic qualification.

The relegation ranks were occupied by Spvg Wesseling-Urfeld , TSV Hertha Walheim , FC Hürth and SG Köln-Worringen .

From the Landesliga Mittelrhein the Bonner SC and SV Nierfeld rose as relay winners. Furthermore, according to the “quotient regulation”, the better relay runner-up, SSV Merten, rose. SV Bergisch Gladbach 09 was relegated from the Regionalliga West .

The top scorer was Martin Notz from SC Brühl 06/45 with 23 goals.

Sportfreunde Troisdorf merged with SSV Troisdorf 05 to form Sportfreunde Troisdorf 05 for the following season .

Promotion and relegation regulation

  • Promotion to the Regionalliga West
The champions are athletically qualified for promotion to the Regionalliga West . If the master does not want to move up, a potential successor must occupy at least third place in the table in order to meet the sporting requirements for promotion.
  • Relegation from the Middle Rhine League
The three teams in positions 14 to 16 of the Middle Rhine League will be relegated to the respective regional league at the end of the season. Depending on the number of relegated members from the Regionalliga West from the Mittelrhein Football Association, the number of relegated clubs increases to a maximum of four clubs.
  • Promotion to the Middle Rhine League
The champions rise from the two national league seasons 1 and 2. If the number of 16 teams in the upper league is not reached, a maximum of both runners-up are eligible for promotion.
