The VfL Alfter is a football club from the municipality Alfter (Nordrhein-Westfalen).

history

The association was founded in 1925. The soccer department is successful. In 2007 she was promoted to the Mittelrhein Association for the first time , but after only one year of membership, she was relegated. After the second ascent in 2010, the club placed third. In the 2015/16 season, the club played its best season to date and became runner -up in the Middle Rhine League . Three years later, VfL rose again to the national league.

Waldstadion on Strangheidgesweg

VfL Alfter plays its home games in the Waldstadion on Strangheidgesweg in Alfter. In the summer of 2007, the old cinder pit was removed and replaced with a modern artificial turf surface. In 2013 the players' and referee's cabins were completely renewed and the sanitary facilities were modernized.
