Careers with Quiet Riot

Quiet Riot was founded in 1975 by Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni (who was replaced by Rudy Sarzo in 1979 ). They recruited Kevin DuBrow as a singer and Drew Forsyth as a drummer. The line-up was broken up in 1980 after Rhoads joined Ozzy Osbourne's band . Rhoads recommended Greg Leon as his successor. For some time the band name was changed to Dubrow, with the line-up Leon, Chuck Wright, Frankie Banali and the brothers Tony and Carlos Cavazo . After Rhoads' death in a plane crash in 1982 while touring with Osbourne, DuBrow changed the band's name back to Quiet Riot. Rudy Sarzo left Osbourne and returned to Quiet Riot just before the release of Metal Health , which made it to the top of the charts. Quiet Riot were the first metal band whose album was number one in the charts. Her singles include Cum on Feel the Noize (originally a 1973 hit by English band Slade ) and Metal Health (Bang Your Head) . Shortly after leaving Quiet Riot, while touring Japan in December 1986, Dubrow formed a band called Pretty Women.

In 1991 DuBrow formed a new band called Heat with his Quiet Riot bandmate Carlos Cavazo. (Quiet Riot had split up in 1988 with new singer Paul Shortino, who had come from Rough Cutt .) By 1993, Heat had renamed Quiet Riot and returned with Frankie Banali on drums.
