Sportfreunde Troisdorf 05 is a soccer club in Troisdorf . With its first team, the club has been in the district league A since relegation in 2018. The A and B youth play in the second highest division of youth football.
history
Since the end of the 1990s there have been talks between the clubs in Troisdorf to examine the possibilities of increased cooperation through to a merger. Sportfreunde Sieglar , VfB Troisdorf and SSV Troisdorf 05 were pursuing serious plans for a merger . However, the first chairman of SSV 05 could not prevail against the resistance in his own club, so that in spring 2002 only the sports fans Sieglar and VfB Troisdorf initiated the merger. The first joint general meeting took place on April 9, 2002.
The new club took over the place of Sportfreunde Sieglar in the regional league . As early as 2004, with only two defeats this season, he was promoted to the association league . The Sportfreunde belonged to her until she was relegated in 2009. The targeted immediate resurgence was narrowly missed in 2010, but succeeded in 2011. On July 1, 2013, the Sportfreunde merged with the SSV Troisdorf 05 to the Sportfreunde Troisdorf 05. After the 2013/14 season , they rose from bottom of the table in the state league and became one year later passed through to the district league. In 2018 it went down to the district league A.

The club plays its home games in the Troisdorf Agger Stadium, which has 2000 covered grandstands and 8000 standing places.
