Armin Görgens (born August 27, 1961 ) is a former German soccer player .
Life
Armin Görgens' main job is in the police force, where he has a senior position in the Rhein-Sieg district.
In the two years at 1. FC Köln , Armin Görgens made eight appearances. His coaches there were the former international Johannes Löhr and "Sir" Georg Keßler , who led Cologne to the 1986 UEFA Cup final against Real Madrid , which was lost. Görgens was not used in any of the two finals. After a year at SC Fortuna Köln in the 2nd Bundesliga , he disappeared from German professional football.
In the meantime, however, like his twin brother Wolfgang Görgens , he had made a name for himself as a coach in the amateur field and for the 2010/11 season he again took over Viktoria from Cologne, who had been relegated to the regional league . However, since the club had to file for bankruptcy, he could only work there for a short time. In early 2011, FC Hürth trained for a game . In March 2013 it was announced that Görgens will be the new coach of the upper division Sportfreunde Troisdorf 05 for the 2013/14 season and will succeed Mustafa Cansiz, who has been in office for twelve years . In July 2013 he finally took over the Sportfreunde with a greatly changed squad. In January 2020 he then took over the first team at TuS Buisdorf.
