The 2020/21 season of the Middle Rhine League is to be the 65th season of the Middle Rhine League football and the ninth as the fifth highest division in Germany under Oberliga status. The opening is planned for September 5, 2020, the last matchday is to be played on June 13, 2021.

Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic

An extraordinary association day of the FVM on June 21, 2020 finally clarified how the pre-season was rated. Since not all teams had the same number of games, a quotient table was created from the league downwards (points scored divided by games played) in order to obtain a final result. There were no relegated players in or out of the league, in the Middle Rhine League, however, only the quotient masters were allowed to move up per season from the subordinate regional league.
