The women's DFB Cup was played for the 41st time in the 2020/21 season. As in the 2009/10 season, the final took place in the Rheinenergiestadion in Cologne .

Participating teams

The teams of the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga of the past season are automatically qualified. There are also the champions of the five regional league seasons and the winners of the 21 regional cup competitions. Second teams are generally not eligible to participate. Since most of the state cups were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic , it was left to these state associations to decide which team to report as a representative if no final can be played. A total of 52 teams take part in the cup.
