Janina Hechler (born January 28, 1999 ) is a German soccer player who has been playing for Bundesliga club 1. FFC Frankfurt since 2015, which has been part of the Eintracht Frankfurt club since July 2020 .

Career

Hechler began playing football at the age of seven with the Bambinis of TSV Gomaringen and later moved to the youth department of VfL Sindelfingen . There she played for the B-Juniors in the Bundesliga South in the 2014/15 season . In the summer of 2015, she moved to the Bundesliga club 1. FFC Frankfurt , where she also played for the B-Juniors and initially moved up to the squad of the second team for the 2016/17 season. Due to good performances in the 2nd Bundesliga South , she quickly recommended herself for the first team: After playing in the DFB Cup against Hegauer FV on October 9, 2016, she made her debut just under a month later, on November 5, 2016 (7th matchday ) in the 4-2 home win against Bayer 04 Leverkusen with her substitution for Marith Prießen in the Bundesliga. On May 7, 2017 (19th matchday), she scored her first Bundesliga goal against FC Bayern Munich with a 4-2 final score.

In February 2018, she extended her contract in Frankfurt until June 30, 2020.

In July 2020, the 1. FFC Frankfurt in the club was Eintracht Frankfurt integrated and thus the women's football department forms of the association .

National team

The defensive player made her debut on November 10, 2014 in the 3-1 victory of the U-16 national team against England in the national jersey and took part with this national team in the summer of 2015 in the Nordic Cup in Denmark , where the team after a 2-0 defeat in the final against the Netherlands took second place and Hechler scored their first two international goals in a 2-1 victory in the group game against Iceland.
