Saskia Matheis (born June 6, 1997 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German soccer player who plays for 1. FFC Frankfurt , which has been integrated into the Eintracht Frankfurt club since July 2020 .

Career

Matheis started playing soccer at TV Dreieichenhain at the age of four. Via the station 1. FFC Frankfurt / FV 06 Sprendlingen she reached the 1. FFC Frankfurt . There she went through all the youth teams before she was appointed to the squad of the second team in the summer of 2013. A year later, she received a professional contract, but continued to gain experience in the second team.

On February 28, 2016, Matheis made her first-team debut. In the game against 1. FC Köln , which Frankfurt won 4-0, she was substituted on in the 68th minute.

In July 2020, the 1. FFC Frankfurt in the club was Eintracht Frankfurt integrated and thus the women's football department forms of the association .

National team

Matheis went through all junior teams of the DFB from the U-15. With the U-17 she won the European Championship in England in 2014 . At the following World Cup in Costa Rica in 2014, however, she was eliminated with the team in the preliminary round from the tournament.

Achievements and Awards

  • 2nd place at the European University Championships 2019 in Spain with the Goethe University Frankfurt
  • MVP of the European University Championships 2019 in five-a-side football
