Theresa Panfil (born November 13, 1995 in Fulda ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with the Bundesliga club 1. FFC Frankfurt , which has been integrated into the Eintracht Frankfurt club since July 2020 .

Career

Panfil was initially active at Haimbacher SV and SV Buchonia Flieden and later moved to 1. FFC Frankfurt. There she first played for the B-Juniors and was from the 2011/12 season in the squad of the second team, for which she played a total of 31 second division games and scored five goals. On November 25, 2012 she finally made her first division debut when she came on for Bianca Schmidt in the 75th minute of the encounter with SC 07 Bad Neuenahr . For the 2013/14 season , Panfil signed a two-year contract with league rivals Bayer 04 Leverkusen . In Leverkusen, she scored her first Bundesliga goal on April 27, 2014 in a 3-2 home win against FC Bayern Munich with the goal to make it 1-1.

For the 2015/16 season, Panfil returned to 1. FFC Frankfurt because, according to the then FFC coach Colin Bell , she has now reached the level to be a real reinforcement for the club and it speaks for her great character that she is ready to take on this great challenge. In September 2015, however, she tore a cruciate ligament . After she returned to team training, the cruciate ligament in her right knee tore again in exactly the same place during a training match between the FFC and Icelandic first division club Breidablik UBK on April 1, 2016 .

In July 2020, the 1. FFC Frankfurt in the club was Eintracht Frankfurt integrated and thus the women's football department forms of the association .

National team

The midfielder went through all of the DFB's junior selections . In 2010, she played two games for the U-15 national team and a year later the Nordic Cup tournament with the U-16 juniors . After her debut for the U-17 national team in October 2011, she was part of the 18-strong German squad that won the U-17 European Championship in Nyon in 2012 . Panfil was also part of the German squad at the U-17 World Cup , which was held in Azerbaijan in the same year, and was in the starting line-up in all games. With the U-19 national team , she qualified for the European Championship in Wales in 2013 and reached the semi-finals there. In March 2014, she made her debut for the German U-20 national team at the six-nation tournament in La Manga . With this she also took part in the U-20 World Cup, which was held in Canada from August 5th to 24th, 2014 , played all six tournament games in which she scored three goals, and won with the 1-0 win afterwards. in the final against the selection of Nigeria's world champion.
