Tanja Pawollek (born January 18, 1999 in Obertshausen ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with the Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt .

Career

Pawollek began her football career at the age of five with TV Hausen and after six years moved to SG Rosenhöhe. There she last played for the male B-youth , before moving to Bundesliga club 1. FFC Frankfurt in summer 2016 , where she signed a three-year contract. After a full game in the second division against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on August 28, 2016 , she celebrated her Bundesliga debut on September 4, 2016 (1st match day) against Borussia Mönchengladbach : in the 8-0 home win of the Frankfurt women, she was in the Saskia Bartusiak came on in 68 minutes. She scored her first Bundesliga goal on April 30, 2017 in a 2-2 away game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen with the goal to make it 1-1. She has been the team's captain since the 2019/20 season.

National team

Since her debut for the U-15 national team on October 30, 2013 against the Scottish team, where she scored the 4-0 goal in a 6-0 win, Pawollek has been a regular part of the DFB's junior team . In 2015 she was part of the German squad for the U-17 European Championship in Iceland , where she played two group games as well as the semi-finals that were lost against the Swiss team. In the following year, she and the team again qualified for the European Championship , which was held in Belarus from May 4 to 16, 2016 , and after a 3-2 final win on penalties against the Spanish selection, she won the European Championship. Pawollek was also part of the German squad for the U-17 World Cup in Jordan in 2016 and reached the quarter-finals with the team. In 2017 she was part of the squad of the U-19 national team , for which she made her debut on March 3 in a 3-1 win against the Netherlands and in the same year took part in the European Championship in Northern Ireland , where she won the 1-2 with the team lost semi-finals against France reached. In the following year, Pawollek was part of the German squad for the U-20 World Cup in France and was used in all three group games as well as the quarter-finals, which were lost 1: 3 against the eventual world champions from Japan, over the full season.

In December 2018, she appointed national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg for the first time in the senior national team for the winter training camp from January 14 to 21, 2019 in Marbella .
