Anna Bläß (born February 27, 1987 in Weimar , Erfurt district , GDR ) is a German soccer player . The striker has been under contract with VfL Wolfsburg since the 2007/08 season .

Club career

Anna Pale came to FF USV Jena through clubs in her hometown , with whom she played in the second division . In the 2004/05 season she came here with 14 goals scored in second place on the top scorer list .

Before the 2006/07 season she moved to Hamburger SV and made her Bundesliga debut on October 5 at the away game in Crailsheim . In the summer of 2007, her move to VfL Wolfsburg made headlines because she was bought out of her contract, which ran until 2009, for the record transfer fee of 20,000 euros. In Wolfsburg, she initially played on her "regular position" in the storm and scored a goal in eight games in the first half of the season; in the second half of the season she was used in midfield, but scored another goal on the last game day in Crailsheim. In the 2012/13 season she played the most successful year in the club's history with the VfL women: With Wolfsburg, she became German champions, DFB Cup winners and Champions League winners .

National team

Anna paleness went through all youth national teams. In 2004 she became world champion with the U-19 national team and was in the semifinals of this age group at the European Championships in 2005 and 2006 . With the U-20 national team she was at the 2006 World Cup in Russia .

On March 2, 2015 she was appointed to the squad of the senior national team for the first time , which took part in the 2015 Algarve Cup from March 4 to 11, 2015 . She replaced Melanie Behringer , who was fit for groin problems . There she made her debut on March 6, 2015 in the game against China .

On May 24, 2015, she was deleted from the final squad for the 2015 World Cup in Canada by national coach Silvia Neid .

Awards

At the U-20 World Cup in 2006, she was awarded the bronze shoe as the third best goalscorer. In August 2006 Anna Blässer was awarded the Fritz Walter Medal in gold by the DFB as the best female junior.
