Dominique Johanna Anna Bloodworth-Janssen (born Janssen , born January 17, 1995 in Horst ) is a Dutch soccer player who has been under contract with VfL Wolfsburg since 2019 and plays for the Dutch national team.

Career

societies

Janssen played for her hometown club, the RKsv Wittenhorst , up to the B-Jugend and moved to SGS Essen in the German Bundesliga in the summer of 2013 . She turned down offers from the BeNe League teams PSV Eindhoven and Ajax Amsterdam . On September 8, 2013 (1st matchday), she made her debut in the 3: 3 draw against BV Cloppenburg in the Bundesliga. She scored the first goal in the Essen jersey on November 3, 2013 (7th matchday) in a 5-1 win against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim , when they scored 1-1. At the end of the 2014/15 season , she left Essen and moved to Arsenal LFC in the English WSL . With the club she was able to win the three titles of English women's football. After the 2018/19 championship, she moved to the German champions VfL Wolfsburg .

National team

On March 17, 2010, Janssen wore the jersey of a junior team of the Dutch Football Association for the first time in the friendly match between the U-15 national team and England . In 2012 she was captain of the Dutch U-17 team in the qualifying matches for the European Championship and also led in qualifying for the U-19 European Championship in 2013 their team as a captain on the field. In 2014 she and her team qualified for the finals of the U-19 European Championship in Norway , where the Dutch women won the title for the first time after beating Spain 1-0 in the final. Janssen was used in all five games over the full season.

As part of the Cyprus Cup 2014 , she was appointed to the senior national team for the first time and made her debut there on March 5, 2014 in a 2-2 draw against Australia when she came on in the 65th minute. In 2015 she was part of the Dutch squad for the World Cup in Canada and came there on June 16, 2015 in a group game against the selection of the host for her only tournament appearance.

At the 2017 European Championship in her home country, she had a single use of 33 minutes when she came on in the final against Denmark . In the subsequent qualification for the 2019 World Cup , however, she was used in all twelve games of the Dutch women and did not miss a minute. In March 2018, she and the team won the Algarve Cup , although the planned final against Sweden did not take place due to the weather and the title was awarded to both teams. She was nominated for the 2019 World Cup on April 10th. At the World Cup, which ended in second place for her team, she was used in all seven Leeuwinnen games and did not miss a minute. In the second group game against Cameroon , she scored her first international goal to mean 2: 1 (final score 3: 1).

Janssen lives in Venlo and is a student at the Johan Cruyff Academy in Tilburg . In 2018 she married and temporarily wore the name "Bloodworth" on her jersey.
