In a 7-0 win against Armenia , she scored her first international goal on March 31, 2010, making it 3-0.

As a regular player in the national team, she then took part in the qualifications for the following European and World Championships, but was only able to qualify for a final round with her team in 2016. After two defeats against neighboring Spain , a 3-0 win in Montenegro and a goalless draw in Finland , they were 2-0 behind in the second leg in the home stadium against Finland after 27 minutes, but Neto succeeded two minutes later Follow-up goal, then the equalizer in the 45th minute with a penalty and the winning goal again in the 84th minute. However, they still had three points less than the Northern Europeans and needed a win in Ireland on the last day of the game and were also dependent on Spanish neighborhood help against Finland, which the Spaniards delivered with a 5-0 victory. In Ireland it was Neto again who scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute. The Portuguese and Finns were tied on points and since the Portuguese had won the direct comparison, they were second in the group. However, they were the worst runners-up in the group and therefore had to play in two playoff games against the second-worst runners-up Romania , where they had home rights first. After a 0-0 home game it was also 0-0 in the second leg after 90 minutes, so the game was extended. Then Andreia Norton , who came on in the 78th minute for her first international match, scored the 1-0 for Portugal in stoppage time in the first half of extra time with her first international goal. The Romanians were able to equalize in the 111th minute, but due to the away goals rule , Portugal qualified for the European Championship finals for the first time.

On March 1, 2017, she made her 100th international match at the 2017 Algarve Cup against Russia as the fourth Portuguese . She was also part of the Portuguese squad for the 2017 European Championship and was used as captain in the three group games after which Portugal were eliminated.
