The Damallsvenskan 2016 was the 29th season of the Damallsvenskan , the top division in the Swedish women's football . The games took place between April 16 and November 5, 2016. Champion became the Linköpings FC , which could win the Swedish championship for the second time. The top scorer was the Danish Pernille Harder from Master Linköpings FC with 23 goals this season. The relegation places occupied Umeå IK and Mallbackens IF . IF Limhamn Bunkeflo and Hammarby IF rose from the second-class Elitettan .
