The Damallsvenskan 1997 was the 10th season of the Damallsvenskan , the top division in Swedish women's football . The games took place between April 19 and October 25, 1999.

Älvsjö AIK secured the third championship in a row. The title of "Skyttedrottningar" (top scorer) went to two players for the first time. Lena Videkull ( Malmö FF ) and Anneli Wahlgren ( Bälinge IF ) each scored 22 goals.
