Kopparbergs / Göteborg FC is a Swedish football club that was founded in 1970 under the name Landvetter IF . In 1999 the name of the club was preceded by the name of the sponsor, the Kopparberg brewery , Kopparberg.
In 2004 the club moved from the Gothenburg suburb of Landvetter to Gothenburg , which led to a change of name and the current name of the club.
history
Since the rise in 1996 under the name Landvetter IF , the club has been continuously represented in the Damallsvenskan , the top division in Swedish women's football. The greatest success of the club with the colors blue, white and black is winning the Svenska Cupen , the Swedish club cup 2011, which the club was able to repeat in 2012. The Swedish national player Lotta Schelin was the top scorer in the 2006 and 2007 seasons while she was a member of the club (2004 to 2008). The current coach is (since 2008) the former Swedish international Torbjörn Nilsson .
