Linköpings FC (Linköpings Fotboll Club) is a Swedish women's football club from Linköping . The club was founded in 2003 as an investment in top football by BK Kenty DFF and the Linköpings HC ice hockey club . Linköpings FC plays in Damallsvenskan , the highest league for women in Sweden.

Before the 2004 season, the national players Hedvig Lindahl , Anna-Kaisa Rantanen , Josefine Öqvist and Sara Larsson were brought to Linköping. In the first season in Damallsvenskan they came in sixth place and achieved a record number of 6,359 visitors in the game against Umeå IK . In the 2006 season, national player Frida Östberg was added, who was recruited from the master Umeå IK. In the storm, the team strengthened with the American Tiffeny Milbrett and took third place in the league. In October 2006 Linköpings FC won their first title: the women from Linköping won the final of the Swedish Cup at champions Umeå IK 3-2 and caused the players from the north the only defeat of the year. In 2008 Linköping was runner-up and won the trophy for the second time. In 2009 the “double” of championship and cup victory was achieved, and Linnea Liljegärd was the top scorer in Damallsvenskan.
