Anna-Kaisa Rantanen (born February 10, 1978 in Turku ) is a former Finnish soccer player . The midfielder played for the Finnish national team .
Career
Rantanen began her career in 1986 with the TuNL club in Turku. Between 1992 and 1996 she played for Turun Pyrkivä and won the Finnish Cup with this club in 1994. In the 1997 and 1998 seasons Rantanen was active for HJK Helsinki and won the championship with her team in both years and the cup again in 1998. In 1999 and 2000 she played again for Turun Pyrkivä, before Rantanen was again active for HJK Helsinki between 2001 and 2003. With HJK she won the championship in 2001 and the cup a year later. In 2004 Rantanen moved to Linköpings FC in the Swedish league . In 2006 she won the Swedish Cup with Linköpings . In the winter of 2008 Rantanen moved to Djurgården Damfotboll and in the winter of 2009 to the German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg , where she was used in all league games in the second half of the 2009/10 season. After the 2010/11 season she left Wolfsburg and played for one season at Jitex BK again in the Damallsvenskan. For the 2012 season she moved to the Norwegian club Klepp IL
On July 6, 1996 Rantanen made his debut in a game against Norway in the Finnish national team. She took part in the European Championships in 2005 and 2009. On March 9, she played her 100th international match at the Algarve Cup in the game for 9th place against Portugal . She scored eight goals for the national team. Her last international match was against Belarus on October 27, 2011.
