history

The association was founded in 2005. In the 2006 season Zvezda took part in the game operation of the second division and was second in the table. Since the master Energija Voronezh renounced the ascent, Zvezda moved up. The team was unbeaten straight away and won the Russian Cup against FK Rossijanka . A year later, the team was able to defend the championship title and remained unbeaten again during the season. The cup final, however, was lost to Rossijanka. In 2009 the title hat trick was completed with the renewed championship.

Unbeaten and with only one goal conceded, the team reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women's Cup . Swesda was the first team to defeat 1. FFC Frankfurt in the group stage. After two wins against Brøndby IF and the Swedish club Umeå IK , the team was in the final against FCR 2001 Duisburg . However, the final was lost after a significant home defeat and a draw in Duisburg.
